For the savoury French Toast recipe:
1 egg, 1/4 cup of milk, 4 slices of bread. Briskly mix the egg and milk together with a fork, add a pinch of salt and pepper. Dip the bread in the egg mix. Pan fry with a little butter.

For the sweet French Toast recipe:
1 egg, 1/4 cup milk, 1/8 tsp cinnamon, 2 drops of vanilla essence 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg. 4 slices bread, icing sugar for dusting. Briskly mix the egg, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Dip the bread in this and panfry in a little butter until well browned. Dry on paper towels. Serve dusted with icing sugar, some honey and fruit on the side.
